ST MARGARETS COMMUNITY ART SPACEST MARGARETS UNDERPASS, LEICESTER, LE1 3DA

Launched on 10th August 2019 by Graffwerk, GraffHQ and Leicester City Council this is the latest addition to the many legal sites within Leicester. A mixture of undercover and outdoor plots with a variety of sized walls this is a perfect city centre location whatever the weather. A number of underpass tunnels, a central open air space and large walls alongside either steps or ramps this site is extensive. St Margarets Underpass comprises of brick, pebble dashed and tiled walls so it’s perfect whatever your surface preference. A very central location with ramp access this is right by St Margarets Bus station itself. Short Street and the Soar Lane hoardings are both nearby hoarded sites. This site also contains a section for beginners so no matter your ability there is a dedicated space to have a go

1UP aka One United Power, a hard to define pool of individuals based in Berlin who come together to create havoc can be found in a couple of large scale locations including this piece in Great Central Street. Of course, there’s plenty of 1up tags and stickers to be found all over Leicester too

One United Power, better known under their almost Super Mario-esque abbreviation 1UP is an enigmatic group of graffiti artists based in Berlin. Neither the exact number of group members nor their age or education is known, what is known though is the almost superhuman scope of their art
