Kieron Cummings, 25, founded the 'SMT Crew' which perpetrated a nationwide campaign of criminal damage by targeting trains and trams

An aspiring fashion photographer and five graffiti artists who caused £340,000 of damage to trains and trams have been sentenced.

Kieron Cummings, 25, was previously commissioned for shoots by designer Vivienne Westwood, whose staff feted him as a ‘rare talent’, Manchester Crown Court heard.

But Cummings also founded the ‘SMT Crew’ - a ‘family’ of graffiti taggers behind a nationwide campaign of criminal damage, stretching from Ardwick in Manchester to Uxbridge in London.

Now Cummings and four other members of the crew have been locked up. Two others have been spared jail, the Manchester Evening News reports .
