Giant cat mural Leamington spa
Artist Muck Rock
A 20ft-high mural of a cat’s face stares out from the side of building alongside the Grand Union canal in Leamington.
The striking artwork was painted in 2018 by street artist Muck Rock, who was born in Stoke-on-Trent but has relocated to Venice Beach, California.
The portrait in Althorpe Street, part of a series of projects in Coventry and Warwickshire by Brink Contemporary Arts, was completed in just under four hours with only the use of a ladder to reach the high sections.
BRINK is a Contemporary Arts organisation specialising in large scale murals and street art. Its aim is to raise awareness of Contemporary Art with a focus on Graffiti Art and Street Art, making them more accessible to the public. Brink promotes talented, emerging Artists alongside more established practitioners through the organisation of events, shows and presentations that occur in less traditional exhibition spaces.
