Giant cat mural Leamington spa

Giant cat mural Leamington spa

Artist Muck Rock

A 20ft-high mural of a cat’s face stares out from the side of building alongside the Grand Union canal in Leamington.

The striking artwork was painted in 2018 by street artist Muck Rock, who was born in Stoke-on-Trent but has relocated to Venice Beach, California.

The portrait in Althorpe Street, part of a series of projects in Coventry and Warwickshire by Brink Contemporary Arts, was completed in just under four hours with only the use of a ladder to reach the high sections.

Future Synth Street Art Mural by Void-One in Leamington Spa

Skanky Panky Records. The Ravers e.p. would feature a rave cyborg, and since their other releases featured a super colourful female protagonist, that would also be part of the brief. I came up with a piece called ‘Future Synth’, a play on the concept of synthesis in music, and her synthetic humanoid look- text by voidoneuk

The mural, depicting a woman wearing sunglasses, covers the side of the Clemens Minimarket in Clemens Street.

Future Synth, created by the artist Void One, was commissioned by Brink Contemporary Arts as part of the Leamington Mural Festival 2021.
